Front Cover Oil Seal: Installation

  1. Position new oil seal onto Seal Installer (J-22248), with seal lip facing outward. Apply light coat of sealer to outside diameter of seal case.
  2. Install Draw Screw (J-9163) into seal installer. Tighten nut on draw screw assembly to press seal into cover until it bottoms. Apply light film of engine oil to seal lip. Install remaining components in reverse order of removal.
