Engine Front Cover: Removal

  1. Remove drive belt(s), fan and spacer from water pump. Remove crankshaft pulley and vibration damper. Remove oil pan-to-front cover bolts. Remove front cover with bolts and gasket.
  2. Cut oil pan gasket end tabs flush with face of cylinder block and remove tabs. Clean all gasket mating surfaces.
