Rear Axle Shaft Bearing & Seal - CHEROKEE & WAGONEER: Removal
- Raise vehicle and support with safety stands. Remove wheel assembly and drum. Remove support plate attaching nuts. Using a slide hammer, remove axle shaft.
- Place axle shaft in a vise. Drill a 1/4" (6.35 mm) hole 3/4 of the way through bearing retaining ring. Chisel off bearing retaining ring. Press bearing off of axle. Remove seal and retainer plate.
