Pressure Test (Selector in "2")

  1. Install "T" fitting at rear cooler line fitting. Attach 0-100 psi gauges to "T" connection and line pressure port. Operate engine at 1000 RPM for test. Move selector lever on transmission one detent rearward from full forward position ("2" position).
  2. Read pressures on both gauges as throttle lever on transmission is moved from full forward position to full rearward position. With throttle lever forward, line pressure should read 54-60 psi (3.8-4.2 kg/cm2 ). As lever is moved rearward, pressure should gradually increase to 90-96 psi (6.3-6.7 kg/cm2 ).
  3. Lubrication pressure should be 5-15 psi (.35-1.05 kg/cm2 ) with lever forward, and 10-30 psi (.7-2.1 kg/cm2 ) with lever rearward. This test measures pump output, pressure regulation, condition of rear clutch and lubrication hydraulic circuits.
