Hydraulic Pressure Tests: Notes

  1. Before making pressure tests, ensure that fluid level is correct and in good condition. Check control linkage adjustments. Correct as necessary.
  2. Transmission fluid must be at normal operating temperature during all tests. Connect tachometer to engine. Raise vehicle to allow rear wheels to turn freely.
  3. Position tachometer so it can be read from under vehicle. Disconnect throttle rod and shift rod from transmission levers so they can be controlled from under vehicle.
