Air Pressure Tests: Notes

"No Drive" condition can exist even with correct fluid pressure because of inoperative clutches and/or bands. Cause can be located by applying compressed air to appropriate case passages after valve body has been removed. If clutches and servos operate correctly, no upshift and/or erratic shift condition indicates malfunction in valve body.

NOTE: Compressed air must be free of any dirt or moisture. Use air pressure of 30 psi (2.1 kg/cm2 ) for tests.
