Parking Lock: Installation

Install reaction plug and pin assembly in housing. Secure with snap ring. Position sprag and spring in housing. Insert shaft, making sure square lug on sprag faces parking gear and spring is positioned so it moves sprag away from gear. Control rod length should be adjusted to 8.19" (208.0 mm) on 727 transmissions and 8.00" (203.2 mm) on all others. Install housing.
