Diagnosis & Overhaul - 727, 904, 998 & 999: Identification
Transmission identification number is stamped on pad on left side of transmission case oil pan flange. Identification number is decoded as shown in Figure .
CAUTION:
Transmission operation requirements are different for each vehicle and engine combination. Some internal parts will differ between models. Always refer to 7-digit part number for positive transmission identification when replacing parts.
