Valve Body Inspection
- Wash parts in solvent. Dry with compressed air. Inspect all parts for nicks, burrs, scratches or distortion. Remove small nicks or burrs with crocus cloth.
- DO NOT round off any sharp machined edges. Ensure all passages are clean and free of obstructions. All metering holes in steel plate and valve body must be open. Inserting a 1/32" drill bit into 1-2 orifice, check that it is clear. Inspect springs for distortion or collapsed coils.
- Inspect manual and throttle valve operating levers and shafts. If bent, worn, or loose, replace. DO NOT attempt to straighten bent levers. Valves and plugs should fall freely into bores.
