Reassembly (Chrysler - Except Model 727)

  1. Place reaction shaft support in clamping tool with hub of support and tool on smooth flat surface. Install 2 pilot studs in threaded holes in support flange.
  2. Assemble rotors in center support. Lower pump body over pilot studs. using pilot, center rotors in pump body. With pump body firmly against reaction shaft support, tighten assembling tool. See Figure .
  3. Invert pump and tool assembly. Install and evenly tighten support-to-pump body bolts. Remove assembling tool, pilot studs and pilot. Drive new pump oil seal into housing with lip of seal facing in.
