KICKDOWN Servo & Band (Front): Inspection

  1. Inspect all parts for wear or damage. Be sure piston and guide seal rings turn freely in grooves. DO NOT remove seal rings unless replacement is required. Inspect piston bore for scoring or wear. Check fit of guide on piston rod. Check spring for distortion.
  2. On controlled load servo, inspect bore in piston and "O" ring on piston. On all servos, inspect band lining for wear or damage. If lining is worn so grooves are not visible on any portion of band, replace band.
