Door Window Mechanisms

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Operation of the window lift system is controlled by the BCM/GWM (Body Control Module/Gateway Module) in conjunction with the DDM (Driver Door Module), the PDM (Passenger Door Module) and the two RDMs (Rear Door Module). The door modules are mounted in the door of their respective windows. Door modules are also mounted in both rear doors, and communicate with the front door modules over the Medium Speed (MS) CAN body systems bus.

The window lift system features one shot up and down operation, plus an anti-trap feature for all door windows.
