Removal And Installation: Removal

All vehicles

Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Remove the exhaust system.
Refer to: Exhaust System .

Vehicles with manual transmission
CAUTION: Make sure that NEUTRAL is selected before starting this procedure.

Vehicles with automatic transmission
Torque Specification: 11 Nm

Vehicles with automatic transmission
All vehicles
Torque Specification: 9 Nm
Make sure that you re-align the driveshaft to the transmission flange using the alignment mark.
NOTE: Mark the position of the driveshaft flange in relation to the output flange.
CAUTION:
- Discard the bolts.
- Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable retaining straps.
- Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Renew Part: Driveshaft flange bolts Quantity: 6.

Torque Specification: 73 Nm
Mark the position of the driveshaft in relation to the rear drive axle flange.
NOTE: Make sure that you re-align the driveshaft to the differential case flange using the alignment mark.
CAUTION:
- Discard the bolts.
- Make sure that the driveshaft is supported with suitable retaining straps.
- Make sure that new bolts are installed.
Renew Part: Driveshaft to rear differential bolts Quantity: 6.

Torque Specification: 73 Nm
WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.

Torque Specification: 47.5 Nm
