Roll Away RECLAMP
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2019 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The roll away reclamp mode is used to provide safe parking, even in the worst case conditions. These conditions can be for example, an undetected actuator efficiency loss, extreme low friction between pads and disc.
The conditions for activation of the roll away reclamp function are as follows:
- The accelerator pedal not pressed (or invalid).
- Both brakes have been statically applied.
- The mode is STATIC (vehicle speed is less than 3 km/h (2 mph)).
- The roll away reclamp not inhibited (such as due to fault entries).
- The Electric Park Brake (EPB) reference speed (second fastest wheel speed) is valid and greater than 0.
- At least 1 wheel pulse counter (only rear wheels, more than 12 pulses).
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control module must be awake.
