Exterior Door Handles: Notes

The exterior door handles are assembled attached to the exterior door panel and are secured using a front fixing hidden under the exterior door handle and a rear fixing for the bezel or key cylinder, on the driver door. When the exterior door handle is pulled, the foot turns the counterweight, which pulls on the release cable to open the latch.
Exterior door handles have separate unlock and lock sensors. The unlock sensor is located on the inner surface of the handle, the lock sensor is located on the outer surface of the handle.
