WARNING:
If the brake pad wear warning light has been activated, a new brake pad wear sensor must be installed.
CAUTION:
Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove the fluid and clean the area with water.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Connect the diagnostic tool and set the electronic park brake (EPB) to the maintenance position.

NOTE: This step is only required if the diagnostic tool is not available.

NOTE: This step is only required if the vehicle has no battery power.

- Raise and support the vehicle.WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
- Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Inspect the brake pad wear sensor for signs of wear or damage. Install a new sensor if necessary.CAUTION: The brake pad wear indicator sensor is easily damaged. Do not use a lever to remove the sensor. Use fingers only.

CAUTION:
- Inspect the brake hose sealing washers for signs of damage, if damage is present discard the sealing washers.
- Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.
NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.Torque Specification: 32 Nm
- Remove the flexible brake hose.CAUTION: Be prepared to collect escaping fluids.NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Renew Part: Brake hose Quantity: 1.
Torque Specification: 15 Nm
Torque Specification: 28 Nm

CAUTION: Remove and discard the O-ring seal.NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
Torque Specification: 8 Nm
