Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  1. Remove the Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe T-Connector.

    Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe T-Connector (Removal and Installation).

  2. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors and remove the 4 bolts.

  3. Evenly and progressively, remove the variable valve timing oil control solenoids.
    CAUTION: Evenly and progressively remove.

  4. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).

  5. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
