Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
    NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil.

    Install the variable valve timing solenoid.

  2. G11293329
    • Install the 2 bolts and connect the electrical connector.

      Torque Specification: 10 Nm 

  3. Install the variable valve timing solenoid.
    CAUTION:
    • Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
    • Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean engine oil.

  4. Install the 2 bolts and connect the electrical connector.

    Torque Specification: 10 Nm 

  5. Install the electric thermostat.

    Refer to: Electric Thermostat (Installation).

  6. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (General Procedures).
