Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Jaguar XE and 2017 Jaguar XE. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor is mounted in a threaded bore in the front of the fuel rail. The FRP sensor is connected to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) via the engine harness. The FRP sensor is provided with a 5 V power supply, ground and signal connections. The FRP sensor is a piezo-resistive type sensor containing an actuating diaphragm. Deflection of the diaphragm provides a proportional signal output voltage to the PCM, dependent on the fuel pressure within the fuel rail.
