Brake Vacuum Pump - TDV6 3.0L Diesel: Installation
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles

CAUTION: Make sure that the drive coupling is aligned with camshaft coupling.NOTE: The application of sealant must be 10 mm square in two places. Use silicone gasket sealant or equivalent meeting Land Rover specification.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
Renew Part: Brake vacuum pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1
- Install the brake vacuum pump immediately after applying the sealant.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
- Install the brake vacuum pump bolts.
Torque : 23 Nm
- Install the brake vacuum pump stud.
Torque : 13 Nm
- Install the vacuum hose retaining bracket nut.
Torque : 23 Nm
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles without Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
- Install the EGR crossover pipe.
Torque : 9 Nm
- Install the nut and install the pipes on to the EGR valve.
Torque : 9 Nm
- Install the coolant hose retaining bolt.
Torque : 9 Nm
- Install the coolant hose.
The following step(s) applies to:
Vehicles with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)

- Install the vacuum hose.
- Install a new piece of tape to the pipes.
- Install the nut and connect the coolant pipes to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve.
Torque : 9 Nm
- Install the coolant pipe retaining bolt.
Torque : 9 Nm
The following step(s) applies to:
All vehicles
- Install the vacuum hoses on to the brake vacuum pump.
- Fill the cooling system.
- Install the left secondary bulkhead panel.
- Connect the startup battery ground cable.
