Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel (G2502359): Removal
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the surrounding trim panels.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand drive vehicles are similar.
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the floor console side trim panel.
Refer to: FLOOR CONSOLE SIDE TRIM PANEL
- Release the 8 clips
- Remove the 2 trim panels below the instrument cluster.
- Release the 3 clips.
- Remove the trim panel from the touchscreen bracket.
- Remove the 3 fasteners.
- Release the 2 Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material dowels.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the footwell lamp.
- Remove the instrument panel lower NVH material.
- Use a suitable tool to release the 6 clips.
- Release the 2 clips and remove the instrument panel driver side trim.
Remove the 2 screws.
Remove the 5 screws from the instrument panel lower trim panel.
- Reposition the instrument panel lower trim panel to get access to the electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Release the On-Board Diagnostics connector.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Remove the lighting control switch.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the Immobilizer Antenna Unit (IAU) from the bracket.
