GLOVEBOX (G2730481): Removal
CAUTION:
- Do not use excessive force to remove the component. Make sure that all fixings are fully released.
- Take extra care not to damage the surrounding trim panels.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations for left hand drive vehicles, right hand drive vehicles are similar.
- Remove the floor console side trim panel.
Refer to: FLOOR CONSOLE SIDE TRIM PANEL
- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Remove the 3 fasteners.
- Release the 2 clips.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the footwell lamp.
- Remove the instrument panel lower trim.
Reposition the door aperture seal to get access to the side panel.
- Release the 8 clips.
- Remove the side panel.
Remove the 2 screws.
- Open the glovebox lid.
- Remove the 5 screws.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Reposition the glovebox to get access to the electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the glovebox lamp.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the glovebox switch.
- Release the wiring harness clip.

NOTE: If equipped.
Disconnect the air duct from the glovebox.
- Remove the glovebox.
