General Procedures

CAUTION:
  • Do not fill the differential with lubricant up to the filler plug. The filler plug is only used to fill the differential with lubricant, and not to act as a level indicator.
  • Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.
NOTE:
  • The only way to check the fluid level in the differential is to drain all the fluid out and refill with the correct quantity, shown in the specification section. For additional information, refer to: Specifications .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
    WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

  4. WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping oil.

  5. Allow the fluid to drain.

    Torque Specification: 32 Nm

  7. Fill the differential with the correct amount of lubricant.
    CAUTION: Make sure the correct specification and quantity of oil is used.
