Suspension Air Supply Unit Expansion Chamber (G2431953): Removal

WARNING: Residual air pressure may be present in the system. Take care when releasing Airline connectors.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material.
When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:

This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, depressurize the air suspension system.
Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE .

General Equipment : Jaguar approved diagnostic tool
Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

Remove the loadspace lower trim.

- Remove the charging cable.
- Remove the tow eye.
- Remove the tire repair kit.

- Remove and discard the 4 retaining clips.
- Remove the loadspace liner tray.
CAUTION: Do not reuse the Airline connector. Always install a new Airline connector every time it is released.

- Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
- Disconnect the Airline connector.
- Release the harness clip.

- Remove the 4 nuts.
- Remove the air suspension compressor.

Using a suitable tape, cover the airline and electrical connector openings.

1. Using a 4 mm drill, remove the head of the rivets.
  General Equipment : Air/Electric/Rechargeable drill
  
  General Equipment : 4 mm drill bit
2. Using a suitable tool, release the rivet bodies.
  General Equipment : 2 mm punch
3. Remove the outer cover.
CAUTION: Do not pull on the suspension air supply unit connectors to release the clips.

- Remove the inner assembly from the outer assembly.
- Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH).

1. Using a 4 mm drill, remove the head of the rivets.
  General Equipment : Air/Electric/Rechargeable drill
  
  General Equipment : 4 mm drill bit
2. Using a suitable tool, release the rivet bodies.
  General Equipment : 2 mm punch
3. Remove the inner cover.
Remove all drilling debris.
CAUTION: Do not reuse the Airline connector. Always install a new Airline connector every time it is released.

Disconnect the inner Airline and discard the Airline connector.
