Air Suspension Compressor (G2207034): Removal

WARNING: Residual air pressure may be present in the system. Take care when releasing Airline connectors.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material.

When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

NOTE:
  • This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
  • This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
  1. Using Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, depressurize the air suspension system.

    Refer to: AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM DEPRESSURIZE AND PRESSURIZE .

    General Equipment  : Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment 

  2. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

    Remove the loadspace lower trim.

    • Remove the charging cable.
    • Remove the tow eye.
    • Remove the tire repair kit.

    • CAUTION: Discard the retaining clips.

    Remove the 4 clips.

    • Remove the loadspace liner tray.
  6. CAUTION: Do not reuse the Airline connector. Always install a new Airline connector every time it is released.

    • Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
    • Disconnect the Airline connector.
    • Release the harness clip.

    • Remove the 4 nuts.
    • Remove the air suspension compressor.

    Using a suitable tape, cover the Airline and electrical connector openings.

    • Using a 4 mm drill, remove the head of the rivets.

    General Equipment  : Air/Electric/Rechargeable drill 

    General Equipment  : 4 mm drill bit 

    • Using a suitable tool, release the rivet bodies.

    General Equipment  : 2 mm punch 

    • Remove the outer cover.
  10. CAUTION: Do not pull on the suspension air supply unit connectors to release the clips.

    • Remove the inner assembly from the outer assembly.
    • Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.

    • Using a 4 mm drill, remove the head of the rivets.

    General Equipment  : Air/Electric/Rechargeable drill 

    General Equipment  : 4 mm drill bit 

    • Using a suitable tool, release the rivet bodies.

    General Equipment  : 2 mm punch 

    • Remove the inner cover.
  12. Remove all drilling debris.
  13. CAUTION: Do not reuse the Airline connector. Always install a new Airline connector every time it is released.

    Disconnect the Airline and discard the Airline connector.

    Remove the 3 mounting bolts.

    Disconnect the wiring harness.
