Tailgate Hinge (G2220030): Installation

    • Install the tailgate hinge.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 25Nm

    • Install the moulding.
    • Secure the 3 clips.
  3. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
    • With assistance, install the tailgate assembly.
    • Install and tighten the 4 nuts.

      Torque  : 25Nm

  4. NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.
    • Support the tailgate.
    • Install the strut.
    • Secure the clip.
    • Secure the 2 grommets.
    • Secure the 4 clips.
    • Connect the 11 electrical connectors.
    • Install and tighten the 3 bolts.

      Torque  : 5Nm

    • Install the clip.
    • Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
  7. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

    Install the headliner.

  8. NOTE: Do this step for all 4 components.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts to the passenger assist handle.

      Torque  : 6Nm

    • Secure the 2 access covers.
  9. Install the tailgate aperture seal.
  10. NOTE: Do this step for all 4 components.

    Install the door aperture seal.

  11. NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the sun visor.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 6Nm

  12. NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.

    Install the cover.

  13. NOTE: Repeat this step for the other side.
    • Install the clip.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 6Nm

    • secure the sun visor.
  14. Install the 2 covers.
  15. Connect the electrical connector.
  16. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .

  17. Move the front row seats to the original position.
  18. Move the second row seat backrests to the original position.
  19. Move the second row seat head restraints to the original position.
  20. Install the tailgate lower trim panel.

    Refer to: TAILGATE TRIM PANEL . Install the C-Pillar trim panel.

  21. Refer to: C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL . Install the B-pillar trim panel.

    Refer to: B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM PANEL .

  22. Install the A-pillar trim panel.

    Refer to: A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .

  23. Install the rear overhead console.

    Refer to: REAR OVERHEAD CONSOLE .

  24. Install the front overhead console.

    Refer to: FRONT OVERHEAD CONSOLE .
