Rear Door (G2201936): Removal

CAUTION:
Protect the surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains illustrations for left side components, right side components are similar.
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustration depending on the vehicle specification, but essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
- Remove the rear door window regulator.
Refer to: REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR .
- Remove the rear door latch assembly.
Refer to: REAR DOOR LATCH .
- Remove the door window.
Refer to: REAR DOOR WINDOW .
- Remove the rear door fixed window.
Refer to: REAR DOOR FIXED WINDOW .
- Remove the rear door bass speaker.
Refer to: REAR DOOR BASS SPEAKER .
- Remove the bolt.
- Detach the rear door check arm from the B-pillar.
- Release the rubber boot.
- Disconnect the door wiring harness from the body wiring harness.

WARNING: The component(s) may be heavy. Take extra care when handling.NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the rear door.

NOTE:
- Only do the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
- Mark the position of the component prior to removal.
Remove and discard the rear door seal.
- Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the check arm.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the 2 rear door hinges.
Remove the rear door window runner seal.
- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the rear door frame finisher.
- Remove the 4 clips.
- Remove the rear door lower trim.
Remove the rear door wiring harness.

CAUTION: Use a suitable trim tool.
Release the 10 clips.
- Rotate the rear door lower moulding.
- Unhook the rear door lower moulding from the rear door.
