Front Door (G2201935): Installation

  1. WARNING: Verify that no delaminating occurs at any time throughout the painting process.
    NOTE: Steps 1 - 16 are only required if previously removed.

    • Check that the front intrusion beam and the front door panel are always in contact with the antiflutter bead.
    • Tighten the nut.

      Torque  : 22Nm

    • Hook the front door lower moulding to the front door.
    • Slightly rotate the front door lower moulding to locate the locator pins.
    • Rotate the front door lower moulding fully to make sure that the 11 clips are engaged properly.
  3. Install the door wiring harness.
    • Install the front door lower trim.
    • Install the 4 clips.
  5. Install the front door frame trim.
    • Install the front door frame finisher.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
  7. Install the front door window runner seal.
    • Install the 2 front door hinges.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque  : 35Nm 

    • Install the door check arm.
    • Install and tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque  : 10Nm 

    • Install the foam block.
  10. Install the door aperture weatherstrip.
  11. Install the front door bass speaker.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR BASS SPEAKER .

  12. Install the front door latch assembly.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR LATCH .

  13. Install the front door fixed window.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR FIXED WINDOW .

  14. Install the front door window regulator.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR .

  15. Install the front door window.

    Refer to: FRONT DOOR WINDOW .

  16. Install the door mirror.

    Refer to: DOOR MIRROR .

  17. WARNING: The component(s) may be heavy. Take extra care when handling.
    NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
    • With assistance, install the front door.
    • Install and tighten the 2 bolts.

      Torque  : 13Nm

  18. Connect the front door wiring harness to the body wiring harness.
    • Attach the rear door check arm to the A-pillar.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 13Nm

  20. Connect the 12 V system.

    Refer to: 12V SYSTEM DISCONNECT .
