Electric Air Conditioning Compressor Low Pressure Pipe (G2226014): Removal

This procedure involves work on components associated with the High Voltage (HV) system. Only technicians qualified to EVCP level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure . It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Recover the Air Conditioning (A/C) refrigerant.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .
- Drain the Electric vehicle battery coolant system.
Refer to: ELECTRIC DRIVE COOLING SYSTEM DRAIN AND FILL .
- Remove the electric cooling fan.
Refer to: ELECTRIC COOLING FAN .
- Before handling any High Voltage (HV) connectors the person(s) performing this procedure must refer to the HA
electrical connector operation and inspection document.
Refer to: HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR OPERATION AND INSPECTION .
- Remove the front Electric Drive Unit (EDU).
Refer to: FRONT ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT .
Release the 2 indirect condenser coolant hoses.
Release the A/C pipe and discard the O-ring seal.
- Release the A/C pipe from the rear of the indirect condenser and discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the indirect condenser.
Disconnect the A/C high pressure temperature sensor.
Release the low pressure pipe and discard the O-ring seal.
Remove the A/C compressor low pressure pipe.
