Air Conditioning Compressor (G2218671): Installation

- Drain the old A/C compressor from the inlet and outlet ports and measure the quantity of refrigerant oil recovered.
- Subtract the volume of refrigerant oil removed from the old A/C compressor from 100 mL.
- Drain the new A/C compressor of the volume of refrigerant oil obtained from the calculation above.
Install the A/C compressor.
Torque : 24Nm
- Install the A/C compressor wiring harness electrical connector.
- Install the A/C compressor HA electrical connector.
- Install the new O-ring seals and the 2 pipes to the A/C compressor.
  Renew Part: Air conditioning pipe O-ring seal(s) Quantity: 2 .
  
  Torque : 24Nm
Install the NVH material.
Install the front subframe.

Power Up the HA system. Only technicians qualified to EVAP level or higher are allowed to perform this procedure . It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle Safety Rules.

Refer to: HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM POWER DOWN/UP - AUXILIARY CIRCUIT .
Charge the A/C system.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .
If a new component has been installed, use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to configure. SRO 869983 HVAC - Update Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to be claimed separately.
