Accumulator (G2224393): Removal

CAUTION:
Before disconnecting, removing or installing components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:

- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- It is mandated that all technicians involved with the steps in this procedure have read and understood the Electric Vehicle (EV) Safety Rules.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Recover the Air Conditioning (A/C) refrigerant.
Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING .
- Remove the front Electric Drive Unit (EDU).
Refer to: FRONT ELECTRIC DRIVE UNIT .
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the 3 wiring harness clips.
- Reposition the wiring harness away from the A/C accumulator.
- Release the 4 wiring harness clips.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Remove the A/C pipe.
- Remove and discard the 4 O-ring seals.
- Release the 6 clips.
- Reposition the 4 coolant hoses away from the bracket.
- Remove the A/C pipe bolt.
- Reposition the A/C pipe away from the A/C accumulator.
- Remove and discard the 2 O-ring seals.
- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the bracket.
- Remove the A/C accumulator.
