Heated Rear Window

The HVAC control module controls the operation of an electrical heater element to rapidly defrost/demist the rear window.
To operate the heated rear window, the heated rear window switch on the Integrated Control Panel (ICP) is pressed. The ICP sends a message through the private Controller Area Network (CAN) bus to the HVAC. The HVAC sends a message through the High Speed (HS) CAN Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems bus to the Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM), to energize the heated rear window.
