Air Distribution Control
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace, 2020 Jaguar I-Pace, and 2019 Jaguar I-Pace. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Distribution doors are used to direct air into the passenger compartment. The doors are operated by electric motors, which are controlled by the HVAC control module using Local Interconnect Network (LIN) messages.
When the climate control system is in automatic mode, the HVAC automatically controls air distribution into the passenger compartment in line with its comfort algorithm. Automatic control is overridden if any of the air distribution selection is made on the Integrated Control Panel (ICP). Air distribution in the passenger compartment remains as selected until the 'AUTO' switch on the ICP is operated again.
