The Rear Integrated Control Panel (RICP) is installed in the rear of the floor console.
The RICP contains rotary switches and switches for the operation of the rear climate control system. The RICP converts the climate control selections into High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems bus messages and transmits them to the HVAC control module.
These push switches contain an amber status indicator:
- The blower speed.
- Air distribution to the face.
- Air distribution to the feet.
- 'AUTO': Automatic operation.
The temperature that each rear passenger selects shows in the center of the related temperature control switch. If the second row seat heater setting is displayed, pull the rotary switch to display and adjust the requested rear passenger temperature.
When the rotary switches are pressed they display the second row seat heater setting. The rear seat heating is controlled by the rotary switch on each side of the RICP. The seats have 3 levels of heating, which are set by rotating the control when selected. The display inside the switch then illuminates the number of bars to correspond to the seat heating level.
For additional information, Refer to: SEATS .
The RICP has a 20 pin connector to the rear floor console wiring harness. The 20 pin connector has the following electrical connections:
- A fused power supply from the Rear Junction Box (RJB).
- The HS CAN HMI systems bus (quantity 2).
- Ground connection (quantity 2).
- The other pins in the connector are not used.
