Humidity Sensor

The humidity sensor is installed on the inside of the windshield close to the rear view mirror. The humidity sensor is located against the windshield by a bracket attached to the windshield. The humidity sensor is concealed under a cover. The humidity sensor comprises 3 individual elements:
- A capacitive humidity sensor.
- A Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) resistor, air temperature sensor.
- An infrared windshield glass temperature sensor.
The data from the 3 individual elements of the humidity sensor are transmitted on the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) to the HVAC control module.
The humidity sensor is hardwired to the HVAC by a 3 pin connector to the wiring harness. The 3 pin connector has the following electrical connections:
- Power supply from the HVAC.
- Local Interconnect Network (LIN) to the HVAC.
- Ground connection through the HVAC.
