WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace, 2020 Jaguar I-Pace, and 2019 Jaguar I-Pace. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Right Hand Drive (RHD) vehicle is shown below, Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicle is similar.
The air ionizer is locate in the instrument panel on the front passengers side and connected to the front passenger outer face vent duct by a hose.
The air ionizer creates positive and negative ions that seek out and surround harmful airborne substances. This attracts the smaller airborne particles together to form larger particles which can then be trapped in the air filter. This purifies the air in the vehicle by reducing airborne mould spores, microbes, fungi, odors, germs and bacteria.
The air ionizer has a 4 pin connector to the wiring harness. The 4 pin connector has the following electrical connections:
- A fused power supply from the Passenger Junction Box (PJB).
- An on/off signal from the HVAC control module.
- A diagnostic connection to the HVAC.
- A ground connection.
