Instrument Cluster (G2219031): Removal
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- When a new instrument cluster is to be installed, the Land Rover approved diagnostic system must be connected to the vehicle and the instrument cluster renewal procedure followed.
- For non-NAS markets - If a new instrument cluster is to be installed, a new Remote Function Actuator (RFA) will be required. All vehicle keys must be presented to complete the RFA renewal.

NOTE: Only complete this step if a new instrument cluster is to be installed.
Use the Jaguar approved diagnostic equipment to collect information from the instrument cluster.

CAUTION: If the software number is K8D2-14C104-AC or L8B2-14C104-AC, a new RFA will be required.NOTE: Non-NAS Markets only.
Using the Jaguar diagnostic equipment, read the RFA software number.

- Remove the driver side face level vent.
Refer to: DRIVER SIDE VENT .
- Remove the center vent trim panel.
Refer to: CENTER VENT TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the In-vehicle temperature sensor.
Refer to: IN-VEHICLE TEMPERATURE SENSOR .
Remove the trim panel.
- Remove the access cover.
- Remove the 3 screws.

CAUTION: Do not use excessive force to remove the component. Make sure that all fixings are fully released.
- Carefully release the 4 clips.
- Remove the instrument cluster surrounding trim panel.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the instrument cluster face.
- Remove the 4 screws.
- Release the instrument cluster assembly.
- Release the 4 clips.
- Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Remove the instrument cluster.
