Rear Wheel Bearing (G1899821): Removal

- Before replacing the Rear Wheel Bearing, make sure to have followed the diagnosis and testing procedure.

- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
- Remove the wheel knuckle.
Refer to: WHEEL KNUCKLE
Using the special tools, remove the hub.
Special Tool(s): 204-726 , JLR-204-836
General Equipment: Hydraulic press
Using suitable tools, move the bearing race until a suitable gap opens up.
General Equipment: Vise
General Equipment: Chisel
Using the special tool, remove the bearing race from the hub.
Special Tool(s): 204-305
General Equipment: Hydraulic press
Clean and inspect the hub for deterioration.

CAUTION: Note the orientation of the circlip prior to removal.
Remove the circlip.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
Using the special tool, remove the wheel bearing from the wheel knuckle.
Special Tool(s): 204-726
General Equipment: Hydraulic press
Clean and inspect the knuckle for deterioration.
