Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (G2271290): Removal

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.

Always follow the fuel system health and safety precautions when doing any repairs to the fuel system.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2-post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Disconnect the 12V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Drain the fuel tank.

Remove the rear right wheel arch liner.

- Release the clamp.
- Disconnect the hose from the fuel tank.

- Release the clamp.
- Remove the hose from the fuel tank filler pipe.

Remove the fuel tank filler pipe retaining nut.

Disconnect the breather from the fuel tank filler pipe.

- Remove the 2 fuel tank filler pipe retaining bolts.
- Release the retaining clip.
- Remove the fuel tank filler pipe.
