Fuel Tank (G2263607): Installation

The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles without fuel fired booster heater

NOTE: Only do the following step(s) if the component was previously removed.
- Install the fuel line onto the fuel tank.
- Secure the 4 clips.
The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater
- Install the 3 fuel lines onto the fuel tank.
- Secure the 5 clips.
The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles
- Using a suitable stand, support the fuel tank and connect the vapor pipe to the fuel tank.
  General Equipment: Transmission jack
- Install the fuel tank.
- Install the 2 fuel tank support straps.
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
  Torque : 24 Nm
- Install and tighten the nut.
  Torque : 24 Nm
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Install the fuel tank shield.
- Install and tighten the nut.
  Torque : 24 Nm
The following step(s) applies to:

Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater
- Connect the fuel line.
- Secure the fuel line in the clip.
Connect the 2 fuel lines to the Fuel Fired Booster Heater (FFBH) pump.
The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles
Connect the fuel line.
- Install the heatshield.
- Install and tighten the 4 nuts.
  Torque : 2.5 Nm
- Install the fuel filler pipe.
- Tighten the hose clamp.
  Torque : 3.2 Nm
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Install the undershield.
- Install the 8 clips.
- Install and tighten the 6 bolts.
  Torque : 7 Nm
- Install and tighten the 3 nuts.
  Torque : 7 Nm
NOTE: Repeat the step for the other side.
- Install the wheel arch air deflector.
- Install the 3 clips.
Install the rear driveshaft.

Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Refill the fuel tank.
