Fuel Pump And Fuel Level Sensor (G2263790): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles 

  1. Install a new O-ring seal.

    Renew Part: Fuel pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1 . 

    • Connect the 2 fuel lines.
    • Connect the electrical connector.
    • Install the fuel pump.
  3. Using the special tool secure the fuel pump locking ring.

    Special Tool(s): 310-123 

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles without fuel fired booster heater 

  4. WARNING: If the fuel pump is to be reused, seal the drain port with a suitable blanking plug.

    Connect the 2 fuel lines.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater 

  5. Connect the 3 fuel lines.

    The following step(s) applies to: 

    All vehicles 

  6. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
  7. Install the access cover.
  8. Install the second row seat cushion.

  9. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  10. Refill the fuel tank.
