Rear Silencer (G2343200): Removal

WARNING:
Observe due care when working near a hot exhaust system.
NOTE:
- This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the essential information is always correct.
- This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
- Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

Remove and discard the 2 exhaust clamps.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the surrounding components.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the 2 exhaust hanger brackets from the rear left exhaust silencer.
- With the aid of another technician, carefully remove the rear left exhaust silencer.

CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the surrounding components.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Remove the 2 exhaust hanger brackets from the rear right exhaust silencer.
- With the aid of another technician, carefully remove the rear right exhaust silencer.

NOTE:
- Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.
- This step is required for the left and the right rear exhaust silencer.
- Remove the 3 nuts.
- Remove the exhaust sound electrical valve actuator.
