The active exhaust switch is located in the floor console. A momentary press allows the driver to activate or deactivate the active exhaust system manually.
The active exhaust switch has a hardwired connection to the Jaguar Drive Switchpack (ATCM) which broadcasts the active exhaust operation request to the Body Control Module (BCM)/Gateway Module A (GWM). The signal to the BCM /GWM is transmitted through the High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) chassis systems bus. The BCM /GWM broadcasts the signal on the FlexRay bus to the PCM.
