Active Exhaust Module
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
The Active Exhaust Module (AEM) is located in the spare wheel well, under the loadspace floor trim panel. The AEM operates the active exhaust valves and monitors them for malfunctions. The AEM will reset the actuators if required to bring them back into an operational state.
The AEM receives a fused power supply from the Engine Junction Box (EJB), a hardwired connection from the PCM and a ground connection. The power supply to the active exhaust actuators is provided by the AEM, and both actuators have a ground connection to the vehicle body. The AEM controls the current flow separately through a hardwired connection to the exhaust valve actuators.
