Cooling Module (G2292257): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the cooling module. Install and tighten and 4 bolts.

    Torque  : 9 Nm 

    • Install the cooling module protector.
    • Install and tighten the 4 bolts.

      Torque 

      M12 Bolts: 90 Nm 

      M10 Bolts: 45 Nm 

  3. CAUTION: Take care not to damage the O-ring seals during installation.
    • Install the upper Air Conditioning (A/C) pipe and new O-ring seal. Install and tighten the bolt.

      Renew Part: Air conditioning pipes O-ring seals Quantity: 2 . 

      Torque  : 20 Nm 

    • Install the lower A/C pipe and new O-ring seal. Install and tighten the nut.

      Renew Part: Air conditioning pipes O-ring seals Quantity: 2 . 

      Torque  : 20 Nm 

  4. Connect the left side coolant hose to the charge air radiator.
  5. Connect the right side upper coolant hose to the radiator.
  6. Connect the degas pipe.
    • Connect the hose to the charge air radiator and secure the clip.
    • Install the coolant pump. Install and tighten the bolt

      Torque  : 9 Nm 

  8. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant pump.
  9. Connect the left side coolant hose to the radiator.
  10. Secure the 4 coolant hose clips to the cooling fan shroud.
  11. Connect the right side lower coolant hose to the radiator and secure the 2 clips to the cooling fan shroud.
  12. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
  13. Install the 2 mounting brackets. Install and tighten the 6 bolts.

    Torque  : 9 Nm 

  14. Install the air duct.
    • Connect the air duct to the left side air filter housing.
    • Connect the air duct to the right side air filter housing.
  16. Install the left air filter outlet pipe.

    Refer to: LEFT AIR FILTER OUTLET PIPE

  17. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD - V8 S/C 5.0L PETROL

  18. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  19. Vacuum fill the cooling system.

    Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING 

  20. Install the front bumper.

    Refer to: FRONT BUMPER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL AJ21/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL/INGENIUM I4 2.0L PETROL - PHEV/INGENIUM I6 3.0L DIESEL/INGENIUM I6 3.0L PETROL

  21. Charge the A/C system.

    Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM RECOVERY, EVACUATION AND CHARGING
