Crankshaft Pulley (G1997933): Removal

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING .
Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
Remove the charge air cooler.
Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER (G1998338) .

Remove the 2 clips.

Remove the 3 clips.

Remove the 2 nuts.

Remove the charge air radiator bracket.
CAUTION: Make sure that the special tool is correctly located.

Install the special tool onto the crankshaft pulley.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1630
CAUTION: Discard the bolts.

Remove the 4 crankshaft pulley retaining bolts.

- Remove the crankshaft pulley special tool.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1630
- Remove the crankshaft pulley.
