Coolant Expansion Tank (G2497448): Installation

    • Install the coolant expansion tank level sensor.
    • Install the blanking cap.
  2. NOTE: Make sure that the locating pegs are fully seated.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the coolant expansion tank level sensor.
    • Connect the coolant hose to the coolant expansion tank.
    • Remove the hose clamp from the coolant hose.
    • Install the coolant expansion tank.
    • Install and tighten the bolt.

      Torque  : 2.8 Nm 

  3. CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.
    • Connect the coolant pipe connector to the coolant expansion tank.
    • Install the 2 coolant pipe clips to the air filter housing.
    • Install the 5 wiring harness clips to the coolant expansion tank.
    • Install the wiring harness clip to the coolant pipe.
    • Connect the electrical connector to the MAF  sensor.
    • Fill the coolant expansion tank up to the upper level mark.

      Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS  .

    • Start the engine.
    • Add coolant to maintain the level at the upper mark until a steady stream of coolant is seen returning to the tank.
    • Stop the engine.
    • Install the coolant expansion tank filler cap.
