Secondary Bulkhead Center Panel - INGENIUM I4 2.0L Diesel (G1893371): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to:LIFTING (G189141)
Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .
Remove the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - INGENIUM I4 2.0L DIESEL .
Remove the engine undershield.
Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD .
Remove the cowl panel.
Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS .

- Release the bolt from the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness clip.

Release the electrical connector from the clip.
NOTE: If equipped.

- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Release the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) filler from the bracket.

- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness grommet.
- Release the wiring harness clip.
- Position the wiring harness away from the secondary bulkhead center panel.

- Remove the nut and disconnect the ground cable.
- Release the wiring harness from the clip.

- Release the brake vacuum pipe grommet.
- Position the brake vacuum pipe away from the secondary bulkhead center panel.
NOTE: Engine is removed for clarity.

Remove the 2 lower nuts from the Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.
CAUTION: To avoid damage carefully remove the noise, vibration and harshness material.

- Remove the 7 nuts.
- Remove the NVH material.

- Remove the 5 bolts.
- Release the coolant pipe grommet from the secondary bulkhead center panel.
- Remove the 2 adhesive strips from the mating surface.
- Remove the secondary bulkhead center panel.
