Wheel Knuckle
The wheel knuckle is an aluminium casting which provides for the attachment of the upper and lower control arms and rear tie-rod.
The wheel knuckle also provides the mounting locations for the following:
- Wheel hub
- Brake caliper
- Brake disc shield
- Rear wheel speed sensor
- Rear wheel speed sensor harness and bracket.
Wheel Hub And Wheel Bearing
The wheel hub assembly comprises a splined drive flange and studs. A wheel bearing is pressed into the wheel knuckle and a circlip positioned to assist in retaining the bearing. The wheel hub is then pressed into the bearing. The drive shaft locates into the splines of the wheel hub assembly and secured with a nut.
