Oil Pump Chain: Installation

  1. CAUTION: Make sure a new oil pump sprocket bolt is installed.
    • Install the oil pump chain and the gear assembly.
    • Make sure that the oil pump sprocket is aligned with the oil pump shaft correctly.
    • Using the special tool to hold the oil pump sprocket, install and tighten the bolt.

    Special Tool(s): 205-053 

    Renew Part: Oil pump gear bolt  Quantity: 1  .

    Torque 

    Stage 1: 60Nm 

    Stage 2: 90° 

  2. Install the oil pan.

    Refer to: OIL PAN 

  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
